Growing up I have always enjoyed exercising my brain. I love all kinds of puzzles and the feelings you get after many attempts, failures, and finally cracking the code. In the same vein, I really enjoy legos, math, and building things. So naturally, I obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
Though I enjoyed it at first, after three years in the industry, I have come to terms with the fact that civil engineering is not what I am passionate about. Quite late in my undergraduate career, I took some programming courses and I enjoyed them far more than any civil engineering course I had taken. I would lose myself in the homework assignments and have literal dreams about the programs I was building.
However since I was so late into my degree, I decided to give civil engineering an honest shot. Here we are, three years later and my passion for programming has not wavered.
